If you are interested in getting your Pharmacy Technician certification it is recommended that you take some accredited training. You will also need to have a good knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, chemistry and the different laws regarding pharmacy regulations and drug preparations.

This information will probably not be included on your final exam, however this information can prove to be invaluable when you are working in your pharmacy technician career.

The only requirement for the pharmacy technician exams is a high school diploma or equivalent. It is wise to study either from a pharmacy technician book or to take the accredited courses. If you are planning a career, the more education you have the better off you will be.
